I live in the beautiful Sierra-Nevada mountains where I savor the solitude.  A place where there is no havoc, no freeway traffic, no crowds or city noise.  It offers a peaceful, comfortable, rewarding and melodic environment.  I am at home in the mountains where the seasons are breathtaking to experience and the natural sights and smells revive all senses.

Living in this place gives me the desire to be creative and express myself in many forums.  One of those forums is creating fun cakes.  I started cake decorating as a hobby and just recently kicked it up a notch by designing 3-D theme cakes for special occasions and events! 

Creating cakes is my passion!  I enjoy a challenge and have found cake decorating to be both challenging and rewarding.   I believe there is no limit as to what I can make out of sugar!!

 I grew up in a large family where cooking and baking was an all day occurance.  My mother, Mary, cooked and baked from scratch, and I, being the oldest girl of six children, was always in the kitchen assisting with the meal and dessert preparations.   

I taught my two daughters to cook and bake and we've had plenty of fun throughout the years. 

I live in beautiful Plumas County and have recently retired from the medical industry in order to pursue my passion for baking and to care for my dear elderly mother.  When my daughter, Deborah, approached me with this venture, I knew it was going to be challenging but also rewarding.  So, here I am, baking my little heart out and sharing my creations with others.  What could be more fun?
